I found this image useful as it demonstrates how the natives lived. Its interesting to see that the closer to the centre you were situated, the greater your power, thus the chief lives in the big hut in the middle. Also, in order to protect the village, not only were great walls built surrounding the area, but guard housing was placed on the outskirts in order to sniff out enemies from miles away. This i saw was very interesting, the fact that the native's main thought in constructing their habitats was protection.
